Welcome to the home page of the laboratories of José Luis Micol and María Rosa Ponce at the Institute of Bioengineering of the Universidad Miguel Hernández. The major focus of research in our laboratories is on plant molecular genetics and genomics. Our areas of research include the genetic control of organogenesis in general and that of leaves in particular (group of José Luis Micol), and the metabolism of RNA (group of María Rosa Ponce). Most of our work is carried out on Arabidopsis thaliana.
